This weekend my family went to Twin Cities Trapeze Center for the second time.
I highly recommend it.
The staff walks you through from no trapeze experience whatsoever to doing a knee-hang from the bar over the course of an hour. They are fantastic at explaining and demonstrating what you need to do. They work with kids and adult, up-to-and-including fairly large adults — a Milestones poster on the wall said that a 240 lb. man had completed his first knee hang just last week.
It’s an incredibly unintimidating environment, full of encouragement and camaraderie.
The website recommends that you be able to hang from a bar for twenty seconds. That’s it. You don’t have to be able to get your feet up to a bar, you don’t have to be able to do much else of anything. If you can hang from a bar by your hands for twenty seconds, you can do this class.
Oh, and you have to be able to tolerate heights.
If you are local, I highly recommend it.
