Wisdom sometimes feels like failure

I will not be running the Twin Cities 5K tomorrow.

The inflamed muscles of my hip still act up and hurt when I take long walk, or try to jog. So I have been doing other exercise for two months. I think it is counter-indicated to try to run 5K tomorrow morning.

This is the smart move. This is the good call. It doesn’t particularly make me happy.

  1. Part of what I’ve been learning is that not doing something I’d intended to do is not a “failure”. My intentions may have been the best at the time I made the decision, but I get more information as life proceeds, including changing circumstances. It’s okay to make a new decision.
